Renovating a women’s shelter in Cambodia

NDY has funded construction of two accommodation buildings at a women’s shelter in Banteay Meanchey. Work on the first building is underway. The second building is almost complete. Work is expected to be finished in June. It was originally expected to finish in May, but a COVID-19 outbreak caused some delays and a reduction in the number of workers (from 8 to 4).

When finished, the buildings will host 80 women per year. Currently, there are 12 women and one three-month-old baby staying in the second accommodation building.
